“AQUOS REAL LIVE” is a live-simulating interactive music video for the online to offline promotion of Sharp’s first 4K compatible flat-panel television “AQUOS UD1”. We hoped to attract a huge number of customers to experience the new AQUOS in store by web promotion.
Although it is impossible to replicate the 4K resolutions on a typical PC, we took on the challenge to recreate a strong sense of presence and reality, which are key features of the AQUOS UD1. In order to achieve this, we developed a world first 360° video technology which can create a powerful virtual live experience. On their PC, users can trim to the angle they like from all 32 angles around the stage by moving their face or mouse, and experience the “live” aspects of the performance.
Finally, the videos that users generated were shown on the screens of AQUOS UD1 in stores, a majority of users who visited the site also visited the stores.
